Job Title:                    Reuse Sales Supervisor

Compensation:          $20-$22 per hour, DOE

Type:                          Temporary, non-exempt

Position Summary:

The Reuse Sales Supervisor is responsible for assisting customers throughout the buying process. Their duties include greeting customers when they enter the store, helping customers find specific products and finalizing payment.

Responsibilities:

• Answer phone, return voicemail and email messages.
• Serves customers by helping them select products.
• Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge.
• Greets customers in a welcoming manner.
• Accept acceptable donations and provide customer record keeping paperwork.
• Responds to customers questions., by providing outstanding customer service.
• Document sales and process payments.
• Alerts management to potential issues.
• Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
• Verify items are priced, clean, and organized.
• Post online sales internally and on Re-Use social media accounts.
• Measure flooring.
• Ensure cleanliness of store.

• Gather and maintain project performance data, which includes maintaining daily logs. documenting the type and weight of all materials diverted.
• Market the diverted materials on social media, including Facebook Marketplace & Craigslist.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
• Safely operate hand tools and power equipment.
• Maintain a safe work environment at all times. Comply with all safety standards and always wear personal protection equipment. Be responsible for maintaining equipment and tools needed to complete assignments.
• Maintain high standards and assure that the mission, goals and values of Better Futures are being met on a consistent basis.

• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Customer Service.
• Ability to measure flooring.
• Excellent motivational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, troubleshoot, and multitask.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Excellent record keeping skills including paper files, electronic files, and database records.

Experience and Qualifications:

• The equivalent of at least one year experience working in the field of sales or building material sales, including front-line supervisory experiences.
• A high school or high school equivalency diploma.
• Be able to lift up to 75 pounds; ascend/descend inclines, stoop, reach and retrieve materials above shoulders and on the ground; carry and position materials such as used building materials and household goods.
• Familiarity with online resale platforms such as Facebook Marketplace, Ebay and Craigslist.
• The ability to work autonomously, to focus on detail and to think creatively.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively to various groups.
• A focused ability on problem solving.
• An understanding of the basic principles of customer service and of a customer driven business.
• Experience with Square preferred.
• Experience with building materials preferred.
• A valid Minnesota driver’s license with a driving record that meets the standards established by Better Futures.
• Be drug-free as verified by a urinalysis
