Sales Floor, Salvage, and Delivery

We are a 45+ year old architectural salvage and lighting firm looking for someone with a love of integrating past treasures for reuse in new design desiring full time work as a sales floor, salvage, and delivery employee.

Seeking a dynamic and versatile individual with the desire to save and integrate antique architectural elements to join our existing team. 

Qualified applicants must be able to work consistently as a team member with other employees and retail customers who share a like passion of removing, integrating & repurposing of antique architectural elements and lighting.

Job Responsibilities and Description:       

Sales Floor

  • Inventory management, cleaning, and minor repairs
  • Creating inviting and unique display with a variety of architectural salvage pieces and lighting
  • Direct customer sales and customer service,
  • Maintaining, organizing, and cleaning the sales floor, and store workshop

Salvage

  • Removal, organization, and loading of architectural salvage and other new inventory
  • Maintaining Salvage tools, and packing materials.

Delivery

  • Coordinate and execute inventory delivery and pickup
  • Safe Driving and Safe Handling in execution of delivery and pickup
  • Maintaining and cleaning delivery vehicle

Other

  • Anything else the store requires, including but not limited to helping customers, answering phone, using computers, cleaning inventory, cleaning other inventory, repairing inventory, shoveling snow, trimming grass, planting plants, making tags, research, working on ladders, packing boxes, unpacking boxes, taking out the trash, cleaning the bathroom, sorting screws, sorting hardware

Skills and traits

  • The ability to lift and load 50lbs consistently and to assist lift 100lbs or more daily
  • Comfort working indoors and outdoors year round in all weather conditions
  • Attention to detail, follow-thru & following instructions.
  • Interest, experience & first hand skills in working vintage/antique architectural items and lighting
  • A basic understanding of using hand tools and small power tools
  • An innate understanding of and interest in how any thing can be taken apart and put back together
  • A friendly demeanor and comfort working with customers in sales and service
  • Basic typing and writing skills and an ability to communicate clearly and plainly
  • Knowledge of computers and Point of sale systems
  • Cleanliness and organization in a personal and communal work environment
  • Adaptability and flexibility in the midst of a rapidly changing environment
  • Work with others in the development of new ideas and practices on a salvage site and within the store.
  • Clear and respectful communication with coworkers and an ability to share insights and receive feedback in team building conflict resolution and brainstorming
