The Stashery Volunteer

The Stashery provides accessible materials for artists — especially at a time when reducing waste and caring for our environment is top of mind. All proceeds will go to supporting our programs at Textile Center.

Think of this space like a mini Textile Garage Sale, with a quieter shopping experience due to its smaller scale.

As a volunteer, you serve as an ambassador for Textile Center — welcoming visitors, helping them find fiber art supplies, and introducing newcomers to our space. You don’t need to know everything happening at Textile Center — the most important thing is to ensure that visitors feel welcome, inspired by The Stashery, and excited to return and engage with our fiber art community.

Volunteers can also bring a donation during their volunteer shift if they would like (no additional donation sign up required; just make sure to stick to no more than 2 ikea bags worth of goods).

Checkout will happen with a Sales Associate in the Shop, so the only requirements of our volunteers is that they come with their passion for fiber art and Textile Center! If you are signing up for your first shift with The Stashery, please leave a note saying so. Erin or Liz will meet with you for the first half hour of your first shift to do some very basic training.
