Swap volunteer

Reuse Minnesota is planning and hosting 12 large-scale community swap events on behalf of Hennepin County between Fall 2025 and Summer 2027. These events will take place in cities across the county and focus on a variety of materials, such as toys, household goods, books, and more, encouraging reuse instead of disposal.

A swap event is a community gathering where people bring gently used items they no longer need and take home items they can use, all for free! It’s a fun, sustainable way to reduce waste, share resources, and support local reuse efforts.

We are currently seeking individuals interested in volunteering at these events. Volunteer roles may include greeting guests, helping with setup and cleanup, checking in items, sorting donations, and more.
